It's time to jot down some important fashion notes from Hollywood's It boys and It girls who rocked the red carpet at the very first annual Youth Rock Awards which was held at the famous Avalon Theatre in Hollywood, California. When it comes to dressing up for fancy parties such as your Prom Night, these super stars' styles indicate that you should save the traditional tux attire and dramatic long evening gowns for the grown ups! If you are part of the under age 25 club, working the formal wear is all about achieving a youthful version of your favorite formal styles that scream out (elegantly of course) that "Hey I'm still young, yet I am no stranger to style." I am so excited to share my interviews with some of the most beautiful, enchanting, & fashionable not to mention very talented entertainers under the age of 25 to make it in the world of entertainment. These young stars came out to participate in the Youth Rock Awards as presenters, nominees, and supporters of the most talented youth in entertainment who deserve to be recognized as today's top young artists. Thanks to the amazing creator of Youth Rock Awards, Jonathan George of JG Entertainment, this prestigious recognition is now a possibility.
I was really lucky to be invited to cover the Youth Rock Awards Red Carpet which took place on a very blustery and chilly night in Hollywood on December 7, 2011. Even though it was finals week, I agreed to attend. I know. It sounds nuts, but I love red carpets and fashion, so I could not turn down such a great opportunity! Besides my last two finals so happened to take place conveniently in between the event. Hence, I considered this event a much needed study break. lol! I wore my red carpet party attire to my final. It was a white satin and tulle knee length dress from my Queenie4ever "Alice In Wonderland" Prom Collection. I felt like a Princess taking my final. When I handed my paper to my Professor, she complimented me on my outfit. As I replied politely "thank you!", I wondered if she thought I got dressed up to take the final? I rushed out of lecture hall and jumped into the back of my driver's car. Unfortunately, we got stuck in rush hour traffic from Westwood to Hollywood, then we got held up by two filmings going on near Hollywood Blvd.. But, I made it just in time to check in the press room and stake out a good spot to conduct my interviews. When you check out the photos, you will see that I ended up the last press person in line before the celebrities enter the private area to go into the building for the show. This spot turned out to a magical place, because the celebrities acted more relaxed knowing that I was their last interview. In fact, some of them even started asking me questions about myself which then turned into some really interesting and comical conversations that shall remain off record! BTW, My pretty white princess dress remained hidden under my blue damask coat since my manager did not want me to catch a cold. Sorry!
I really hope you love the red carpet styles of celebrities such as " Teen Wolf" Tyler Posey, "The Twilight Saga" Booboo Stewart, "The Hunger Games" Amandla Stenberg, etc... as much as I did! The guys rocked casual versions of the traditional matching suit and tie yet still managed to appear dapper or at least cool. The girls were stunning in youthful versions of pretty party dresses worn with minimal delicate jewelry, and soft waves were the trend for hair as well as romantic soft shades of makeup. Everything was perfectly understated which created a youthful appearance to the entire crew of gorgeous Hollywood Youth A Listers I had the pleasure of interviewing that evening.
In response to your questions, How did I do on my finals? I arrived back to my dorm from the event a little after midnight which by college standards is actually still early. I woke up the next day and took my last final, then I packed my belongings to begin my much needed Winter Break. I made Honors my first quarter at UCLA! From my experience as a first time college student, my advice is to study consistently throughout the school term and take study breaks to keep yourself from getting overwhelmed. Being in a good mood after a fun filled study break like the one I took at the Youth Rock Awards helps you (and me) to concentrate on exams. This results in getting good grades which you can then reward yourself with a shopping spree during school break using red carpet fashions as inspiration like I did! 2. How are you balance acting with having your band?
It’s not easy because I’m so busy. Over the summer I was trying to get my band out there, recording, and filming. I’m never free but I’m also really lazy.
3. What scene from White Frog are you most excited to have your fans see?
It’s a really touching movie. There ‘s this scene where I’m playing tennis with my girlfriend Kristen (I auditioned for this role btw) where I take my shirt off. I’m sure my fans will be really excited to see that.
4. Which one of your band’s songs would you want to have in Teen Wolf?
Someday. We recorded it recently and we’re going to perform it tonight. We actually wrote it about Teen Wolf. It’s about getting out there and fulfilling your dreams.
